Couple Agreement

We understand and agree that all sessions are conducted exclusively via WhatsApp Video. No telephonic calls, WhatsApp chat, email, or any other platforms are used.
We acknowledged that we are aware that we are receiving counselling by a student, who is currently completing practical hours and is under supervision.
We have consented to this and understand it is a free session.
Personal particulars are disclosed voluntarily by us and will form part of a confidential file which remains the property of the counsellor.
Neither student counsellor nor CMT will be held liable any negligence
We understand that all information shared is confidential, with the following exceptions: if we are in clear and imminent danger to ourselves or others; if there is a chance that we may engage in dangerous conduct; or if there is reasonable suspicion that a child or elder has been, or is being, abused. In such cases, the information will be reported to the SAPS and/or the relevant child protection services.
We understand that the student counsellor will be receiving supervision where information pertaining to our session may be discussed. Our names and identity will remain confidential.
The student counsellor cannot be asked to provide any formal or informal reports, psych - legal assessments reports, evaluative statements, psychological assessment reports and cannot participate in any legal proceedings whatsoever.
The student counsellor will not be able to provide a absenteeism letter or any other HR related forms
We understand that once we have adhered to all the requirements above, we will qualify to receive up to 5 free online sessions.
We acknowledge that we may access the Free Online Counselling service once per calendar year. We understand that we may only register for and use the service again after 12 months. If we register again within the same year and this is identified by Counselling Matters, our R40 registration fee will be forfeited.
We understand that if we register between Friday and Sunday, the 48-hour processing period will only commence on Monday at 8:00 AM.
